Procedure: At each class we will cover material from the text. Try to read lessons before class, and do (at least) the assigned exercises as soon as possible after class (some will be done during class). Regular quizzes (based on the exercises) will be given in class. Approximately 2 hours of homework will be assigned each meeting.

Grading: Course grades will be based on quizzes (10%), three midterm exams (20% each), and a final exam (30%).

Final Exam: The final exam will be given on a date during finals week; the exact date and time will be announced during the semester. The final exam will cover all material from the course.
