Dr. Jung is currently an Associate Professor in Mathematics and Computer
Science at Lehman College of the City University of New York (CUNY). His teaching and research interests include
distributed content-based multimedia information storage and retrieval, and scalable server side software development. He is also
interested in developing time and space efficient algorithms for data intensive computing in inexpensive portable devices. He has published papers in
the Journals and Conference Proceedings in these research areas. Some of his research papers were cited in
Research and Independent Studies: Java EE 6/7 based application frameworks, Web-based expert dispatching brokering architecture, Automatic knowledge acquisition based on big data analysis, Physical database design issues: efficient join operation, query optimization, transaction management. Android kernel optimization (specifically SQlite data backup optimization), Service oriented architecture based on Java web services (SOAP based and Restful Web Services), Android programming, Smart phone programming based on Oracle MDF framework (with JDeveloper). System programming and kernel module programming for various systems.
