The Lehman College CSM Scholarship program

The Lehman College CSM Scholarship Program provides at least $2500 per semester in unmet financial need, as well as mentoring and other support, to computing and mathematics majors. Students are expected to participate in workshops, information sessions, and other activities designed to promote successful attainment of the degree. This program is run by the Mathematics and Computer Science Department, with funding provided by the National Science Foundation Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S STEM) program under Award No. 1060598.

The academic merit of an applicant will be judged by grade point average in college, with special attention given to courses in mathematics, computer science, computer information systems, and English, letters of recommendation from professors who are familiar with the students work, and the quality of the essay.  For those students who have held relevant jobs or internships, their resume and letters from supervisors who know their work will also be considered. Preference will be given to undergraduate applicants who have finished the basic skills courses and the first year courses in the major with a grade point average of 2.8 or higher. For more information contact:
