How to Apply

Students who meet the citizenship, financial need, and enrollment criteria will be evaluated on their academic merit, the course work they have completed, and their professional potential.  Applicants must submit:

• An application form, which must be signed by the applicant.
• Three letters of recommendation from professors or supervisors who are familiar with your work.  The letters should include the recommendation form.
• Transcripts of college work completed.  For Lehman students, unofficial transcripts will be accepted.  For all others, official transcripts are required.
• Certificate of financial need (FAFSA form).
• An essay describing yourself, including for example, your past experiences with computers, leadership and the community, your current academic goals, and your plans for the future.  You also may include special circumstances that you would like considered in the evaluation of your application.
• A resume.

The academic merit of an applicant will be judged by grade point average in college, with special attention given to courses in mathematics, computer science, computing and management, and English, letters of recommendation from professors who are familiar with the students work, and the quality of an essay submitted by students.  For those students who have held relevant jobs or internships, their resume and letters from supervisors who know their work will also be considered.

Preference will be given to undergraduate applicants who have finished the basic skills courses and the following first year courses (requirements differ by major) with a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.  See the  citizenship, financial need, and enrollment criteria for details.
