Projects for Maple Labs


This page is designed for anyone who needs to access the Maple Projects for Calculus Lab courses at Lehman College.


To access a project, you need only click on the project below. Some computers will automatically open Maple and run the project. Otherwise, go up to File in your web browser and select "Save as" then be sure to choose the 3 1/2 inch floppy drive and type a file name that you like. A good name is given in the location http://comet.lehman.cuny.edu/calculus/projects/filename.mws Always end the name with .mws so that Maple will recognize it. Then open your Maple program yourself and open that file from the 3 1/2 inch floppy drive.

To access a project in the Computer Room 207 at Lehman College, you can open Maple by clicking on its icon, then select "open" under "File". Change the drive to "g:", click on the "DATA" folder, and then on your course folder, and then select the project. Or you can click on the student data icon , then select your courses folder, and then choose the appropriate project 155.00.01.mws is the 1st project for MAT 155, 155.00.02.mws is the second project and so on. You can click on the project icon and drag it to the maple leaf icon and it will automatically open.



Calculus I Lab, MAT 155, 1 credit
Prerequisite: MAT 172 Corequisite:  MAT 175
Text same as 175: Larson, Hostetler and Evans, Calculus Early Transcendentals, Houghton Mifflin, second edition.
Projects by Prof. Sormani (based on older labs by Prof. Phillips) are available below: just click on the project name and save the file as 155.00.01.mws, 155.00.02.mws ... so that it can be read by the Maple program.



Calculus II Lab, MAT 156, 1 credit
Prerequisite: MAT 175 and MAT 155 Corequisite:  MAT 176
