An incompatibility between spectrification and the Szabo spectral sequence

Abstract: (Joint with Pravakar Paul and Nick Seguin) I'll discuss the spectrification (a topological lift) of Khovanov homology and its relationship to Steenrod operations, spectral sequences from Khovanov homology to Floer-type knot invariants, as well as some related ideas.
