Aspherical manifolds with extreme properties

Abtsract: Answering a question by Gromov, we construct a closed aspherical manifold whose fundamental group does not coarsely embed into a Hilbert space, has infinite asymptotic dimension, does not satisfy the Baum-Connes conjecture with coefficients.
