The self linking number and planar open books

Abstract:
Combining Giroux, Bennequin and Pavelescu's results, we can identify a
transverse knot in a contact manifold with a braid in an open book.
Using this identification, I will describe the self linking number of
null-homologous transverse knots in a contact 3-manifold admitting a
planar open book decomposition.
